Then Make Pickles!
It's been a month since I've been able to cook Dorie's selections! I've had 2 funerals (sad events) and 1 graduation (happy! My son!) One funeral had my sister and me driving to Plymouth, Massachussetts last week. We managed to have one day of touring (for the second time in about 15 years) and we had some enjoyment there.
So it seems appropriate to deal with the sour and sweet. I whipped these up tonight in a matter of an hour and tested them. They are tasty. Husband liked them, too! Short and sweet literally and figuratively this week. Stay cool if you are under the heatwave this week and weekend! Find the recipe for these on page 340 of Around My French Table by Dorie Greenspan.
I hope you had a great 4th of July. We did at home, grilling and swimming in the pool. God Bless!
Very sorry to hear about the funerals. Two in a month is two too many. Congrats on the graduation, though! Glad this week was an easy one, to get you back in the swing of things.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your losses. Congrats on the graduation, though (I had one of those as well in June)
ReplyDeleteI think many of us needed easy this week. Hope you have a restful weekend.
Cathleen, Sorry for your losses! And so happy for your son’s graduation…congrats!
ReplyDeleteI found this recipe quite good and was thrilled that it was so easy! Glad you enjoyed them!
My condolences on the deaths of your loved ones. Short and sweet was good for me, too :) Glad you enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteVery sorry about your losses. It was good to have an easy recipe, wasn't it? So many Doristas seem to be having sorrows lately. Good food helps ease the pain. Congratulations on your son's graduation!
ReplyDeleteYour son graduating is a great thing, but sorry for your losses! Glad you enjoyed the pickling. Have a great weekend!
