Cafe Salle Pleyel Hamburger

Café Salle Pleyel Hamburger

Loved, loved, loved this hamburger!  I’ve never had a hamburger with such rich ingredients.  The whole family loved it.  I will definitely make this one again.  I wish there was a pronunciation guide under the French names of Dorie’s recipes.  I often want to talk about them with others and feel foolish because I have to guess at the pronunciation.  I suppose I should look it up in dictionary.com.
The only downside to this recipe for me was the way my onion relish looked at the end of cooking. It lost its red color and looked like a gray mush.  Maybe I cooked it too long?
I’ve missed almost 2 months of recipes but don’t feel as guilty as perhaps I should.  I did do the Salmon and Tomatoes en Papillote in early July.  It was wonderful.

But we left on vacation to the Jersey shore and I didn't get the blog done.  Some of the recipes that were selected didn't sound like something I wanted to take the time to cook up and share ateekend get-togethers; they didn't seem like summer fare (sorry)!
I do look forward to September's selections and catching up with my fellow bloggers.
Hope you all had a great summer and find September a month of new plans to start.
I enjoyed finishing the ‘unofficial’ end of summer with this delish burger!
The earthquake and hurricane would not have been on my list to finish any season with!

  3. Welcome back!
Some of the July/ August picks were a little rough for me, so I think you picked a good time to come back :-)
    Stay safe!
